Business Continuity Plan

Financial Concepts » Business Continuity Plan

Financial Concepts has developed a Business Continuity Plan describing how we intend to respond to events that may significantly disrupt our business operations. Because the timing, scope, and impact of disasters and disruptions are unpredictable, our response may vary depending on the circumstances. With that in mind, we are providing the following summary of our business continuity planning.

Contacting Us
In the event of a significant business disruption, we will make reasonable efforts to continue communicating with clients through available channels. If you are unable to contact us through our primary phone number, we may communicate alternative contact information through voicemail messages, our website, email communications, or other appropriate means. We will respond to client inquiries as soon as reasonably practicable.

Our Business Continuity Plan
We plan to take reasonable steps to recover and resume business operations following a significant business disruption. Our response may include safeguarding employees and property, conducting financial and operational assessments, protecting the firm’s books and records, and supporting continued access to advisory services. Our Business Continuity Plan is designed to allow the firm to resume operations within a reasonable timeframe, given the nature and severity of the disruption.

Our Business Continuity Plan addresses, among other things:
  • data backup and recovery;
  • mission‑critical systems and technology;
  • financial and operational assessments;
  • alternative communications with clients, employees, and regulators;
  • alternative work arrangements, including remote access capabilities, as appropriate;
  • reliance on and coordination with critical service providers; and
  • coordination with qualified custodians to support clients’ access to their funds and securities.

Data Backup and Recovery
The firm maintains regular data backup procedures with backups stored in geographically separate locations. While every emergency situation presents unique challenges depending on external factors and the severity of the disruption, data restoration and recovery efforts will be undertaken consistent with the firm’s Business Continuity Plan and available resources.

Varying Disruptions
Significant business disruptions can vary in scope, such as disruptions affecting only the firm, a single building, the surrounding business district, the local area, or a broader region. The severity of disruptions may also range from minimal to severe. Depending on the circumstances, the firm may implement alternative work arrangements, including remote operations or other contingency measures, to continue serving clients. We intend to continue operations where reasonably practicable and will communicate with clients regarding how to contact us.
