Our firm believe strongly that we are performing at our best when we invest and take interest in other people, which includes clients who are neighbors, friends, relatives, and colleagues. One of the many ways in which we put actions behind these words is to volunteer our resources and talents to build a stronger community in which we all live. Our ethos is that when we improvae the quality of life for those around us, our own lives become enriched in the process of giving back.
We believe supporting our community is our social responsiblity. Through a spirit of collaboration and teamwork we strive to be generous with our money, time, and leadership and are involved in numerous charitable causes across our community and state.
200 Million Flowers: Financial Concepts has been a proud supporter of 200 Million Flowers since its inception. We have served as associate sponsor of the 200 Million Flowers Five K for the Fatherless and as title sponsor for the Art of Adoption gala since its launch in 2012. Through the work and collaboration with many civic groups and community organizations this Mississippi non-profit organization is “Committed to help make the connections between children in need of love and people that have love to give.” We support 200 Million Flowers in their mission of helping parents and kids to fulfill their journeys of finding and creating their forever family. In expanding our support for 200 Million Flowers, Scott Ferguson joined their board of directors in May of 2015. For more information, please click here.
The United Way of Lowndes County: Seven years ago the story and mission of the United Way of Lowndes County touched our hearts. From our very first introduction to the United Way, we have been proud supporters and contributors. To further the firm’s commitment and belief in the charity’s mission, Scott Ferguson has previously served as president of the Executive Committee. The United Way of Lowndes County works with civic and business leaders to ensure that people who have a verifiable financial emergency caused by a catastrophic illness, layoff, or other major adversity beyond their control have help when they need it most. Other beneficiaries of the philanthropy include the elderly, disabled, and ‘at risk’ children. Learn more about the United Way of Lowndes County by clicking here.
Little Hands, Big Trucks: Bentley Ferguson is the brain child behind Little Hands, Big Trucks. A lover of big trucks, he asked his dad Scott Ferguson, to help create a day where kids of all ages could have an opportunity to have hands-on experiences with big rig equipment. The United Way of Lowndes County took Bentley’s inspiration and collaborated with the dad and son duo to plan and organize the fundraising event.
